Teach Responsibility, Not Promiscuity.
If HB5188 is passed, it will require schools in Illinois to teach material that many parents believe goes against their moral values or is inappropriate for their children, and schools will no longer have the option to opt out. The sponsors of the bill have misrepresented that the information provided would be suitable for all age- and developmentally-appropriate, medically accurate, complete, and culturally inclusive consent education in K-12 grades.
Protecting Our Children. Restoring Their Innocence.
In order to foster a healthier culture, it is important for children to be taught by educators who can respect and appreciate each person's moral dignity and biological makeup. The state of Illinois has passed a law making it mandatory to teach students K-12 about issues associated with “transgenderism” - This can have an extremely detrimental impact when preached as morally acceptable regarding homosexuality and "trans"-cultism.
Taking a Stand Against Inappropriate Sexual Education
The proponents of the said standards are firm believers that every individual has a right to experience satisfying sexual pleasure at any point in their life. Furthermore, children should have access to such pleasure with anyone they choose and purity should not be seen as a virtue. Additionally, children should be encouraged to explore their own sexuality, as well as same- and opposite-sex relationships. The standards teach that of sexual consent is given freely by all parties involved, yet children are not legally capable of giving their consent.
Comprehensive Sex Education
Public Act 102-0522 (SB818) signed into law in August 2021, sexualizes, grooms, teaches masturbation, and promotes gender ideology
The LGBT History
Public Act 101-0227 (HB246) signed into effect in August 2019) requires students to complete this history class in order to graduate from 8th grade.
Repeal of the Parental Notice of Abortion Act
Public Act 102-0685 (HB370): signed in December 2021), where our daughters 17 and under can get an abortion without parental consent or notification.
Proposed bill: School Members Requires 4 hours of LGBTQ+ inclusivity training
HB 2381 - Rep. Laura Faver Dias (D): Requires 4 hours of LGBTQ+ inclusivity training (indoctrination) for all school board members. Urge your state rep to vote NO if it passes out of committee. (Illinoisfamily.org)
CLIMATE CHANGE EDUC
Public Act 103-0837 (HB 4895) CLIMATE CHANGE EDUC (Rohr) -Amends the Courses of Study Article to require a climate change unit in public high schools starting in 2025-2026. Illinois' educational system aims to mandate so-called climate change, an unfounded, left-leaning political ideology based on fear tactics to expand government power.
RELIGIOUS RELAXATION ACTIVITIES
Public Act 103-0764 (SB 2872) RELIGIOUS RELAXATION ACTIVITIES (Ventura & Simmons) The School Code is amended to require school districts to provide students with weekly relaxation activities as part of the school day. These would include relaxation activities like yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises. Many of these practices originate from Buddhist, Jain, and Hindu traditions and will be incorporated into physical education, social-emotional learning, or student-support classes.
Failure to provide a safe and adequate public education as guaranteed (or implied) in the state constitution.
Gross educational neglect under the doctrine of equal protection or due process.
-
In 2023, Chicago Public Schools reported over 1,000 allegations of sexual misconduct involving students and staff. That’s not an isolated problem — that’s a crisis.
-
The climate in many public schools is violent. In 2022, Chicago police reported over 400 incidents involving firearms on or near school campuses — including students bringing guns to school and shootings during school hours.
-
With only 35% reading proficiency and 28% math proficiency statewide — and in Chicago, only 29% in reading and 18% in math — what exactly are we funding? For Black students, the numbers drop to 20% reading and 9% math.
-
When 0–35% of students are proficient in basic skills, the state is arguably failing its constitutional mandate to provide an adequate education.
-
In 2024, Illinois public schools spent an average of $21,829 per student, totaling approximately $40.4 billion statewide. Chicago Public Schools reported even higher expenditures — $29,028 to $34,692 per student — a 97% increase since 2012.
And yet, instead of fixing these problems, Illinois lawmakers are focused on regulating homeschoolers. Illinois already has a strong truancy system enforced by school districts and DCFS. With over 10% absenteeism statewide — and 40% in CPS — why target homeschooling families? Why attach penalties and criminal charges in this bill when public school truancy is rampant?
Exit 2 Protect
The bills below are technically dead for now (Session Sine Die), but don’t miss the bigger point — they expose the sinister mindset of these legislators and the spiritual trajectory of Illinois. Even when a bill doesn’t pass, it reveals the kind of future these elected officials envision for this state. And remember, what you see here is only the tip of the iceberg — these are just the K–12 education bills.
-
HB29 CRIMINAL PARENTAL BULLYING (Ford) (Session Sine Die) The bill defines "parental bullying" as a parent intentionally sending verbal or visual messages to a minor that are believed to coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause emotional distress.
-
HB4876 ABORTION/GENDER-AFFIRMING CARE (Stava-Murray) (Session Sine Die) Amends the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act and intends to criminalize parents who deny their child access to certain medical care, such as primary care services, abortion services, or gender mutilation.
-
HB 5548 ACCESS GENDER CARE (Canty) (Session Sine Die) Amends the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution Act. Excludes from the definition of “abuse” obtaining, seeking, or facilitating lawful health care for a minor child by a parent (see definition of abuse below). This bill mandates that the court limit parental control over a child’s “gender change”. It even interferes with parents’ rights from other states. An insidious bill.
-
HB 5473 DHFS-FAMILY PLANNING-MINORS (Cassidy)(Session Sine Die) — Makes it legal for minors 12 years and over to make their own family planning decisions unilaterally without parental consent if the family is on Public Aid.
-
HB 4133 BULLYING PREVENTION (Croke) (Session Sine Die) – This mandates public schools’ bullying prevention policies (that contain LGBTQ propaganda) into religious schools. This is against religious freedom as well as free speech.
